Buying guide
How to choose cabinet knobs
GTV cabinet knobs to go with our handle ranges – square PIAZZA knobs, round RAY knobs and classic IMPERIAL knobs – in matt black, brushed gold, brass, brushed steel and light graphite. One screw fixing, screws included, sold singly so you can order exactly the number of doors you have.
Where knobs work best
Knobs suit cupboard doors, wall units and small drawers, and they are the simplest fitting of all: one hole, one screw. On wide pan drawers and heavy pull-outs a bar handle gives a better grip – most kitchens mix the two, with knobs on doors and matching handles on drawers.
Positioning
On a door, fit the knob 60–80 mm in from the opening edge and the same distance from the top or bottom edge, so it clears the adjacent door when both are open. On a drawer front, centre it, or use two knobs on fronts over 700 mm. Drill a 4 mm hole from the face side with a scrap behind the door to stop breakout.
Matching finishes
Each knob matches a handle family: PIAZZA square knobs go with the OCTAVIO and BAGIO square-section handles, RAY knobs with RAY bar handles, IMPERIAL knobs with IMPERIAL handles. Choose the finish to tie in with taps and appliances – brushed gold against navy or green doors, matt black against white, oak or sage.
