Hinge finder & counter

Tell us about your doors. We’ll pick the right soft-close hinge, tell you how many each door needs and where they go, and put the lot in your basket in the cheapest packs.

Your doors

Add a line for each door size. Measure the door itself, not the cabinet.

Black suits dark cabinet interiors. Glass-door hinges come in one finish.
Not sure which door type?
Full overlay – the door covers the front edge of the cabinet side (most kitchens and wardrobes).
Inset – the door sits inside the cabinet, flush with the front edge.
Half overlay – two doors share one middle panel.

How we work it out

  • Height sets the numberDoors up to 900 mm tall need 2 hinges, up to 1600 mm need 3, up to 2000 mm need 4 and up to 2400 mm need 5. This is the standard guide for 16–19 mm board doors up to 600 mm wide.
  • Heavy or wide doors get one moreAdd one hinge for heavy doors (solid wood, glass or mirror panels) and for doors 601–650 mm wide. Doors wider than 650 mm should be split into two.
  • Where they goTop and bottom hinges about 100 mm from the ends of the door, any others spaced evenly between. Move a hinge a little if it clashes with a shelf. Drill the 35 mm cup hole to the instructions in the box.
