Handle sizing rules of thumb

  • DrawersA handle about a third of the drawer width looks balanced – roughly 192 mm hole spacing on a 600 mm drawer and 320 mm on a 1000 mm drawer. Very small drawers suit a knob.
  • DoorsFit the handle upright near the opening edge. About a quarter to a third of the door height works well: 192 mm on a standard 715 mm base door, 320 mm or longer on tall doors.
  • DrillingMeasure twice, drill once. Drill from the front into a scrap block held tight behind, so the back doesn’t split. Most GTV handles use M4 screws – check the length suits your front.
